Default Hmm, so what am I?

Came across this while on a bit of a walkabout in a local woods. Each fruit is about the size of a pea. (And yes I actually do know what it is. I just thought it would be fun to test your ID skills. heh. )

Definately rose hips. Love them for autumn and Christmas arrangements.

They are indeed wild rose hips. I'm so used to seeing the much larger fruit on hybrid roses, that I thought it rather "cute" as to how small these were. So well done folks!

Shall we test your identification skills a step further? Can you ID this plant?

The name escapes me but seeing the thorns reminds me of a horrible weed that can take over a garden and and are hard to erradicate. Neat picture!
