Thanks Bruce, it's a little Meyer lemon tree, I started with about 24 wee lemons in August but the damn squirrels came along and started to nibble on them outdoors, take a bite and then drop them on the ground when they realized they weren't so tasty a treat. I managed to salvage it with 8 lemons left on it! The squirrels and I have a real love/hate relationship. Don't even get me started on the mess they make for 6 weeks while they gorge on the hickory nuts or how much it hurts when they drop one on your head while you're gardening!

Thanks Martha, will look out for those powder and spray/paint alternatives, thats what I call convenience. Yes we use similar terms of DIY and Hardware stores that sell everything from kitchen sinks to rat poison. Not sure about the box store term though.

Yum! Meyers are great! I put one in a couple of years ago into a big pot, and it has finally budded up! Try Limequat for cooler areas too!

And that "squirrel proof" orchid hanger looks brilliant! Atleast it is now truly Squirrel proof, because there is no seed for them to get at!

Teena you done a good job, brilliant idea I must say, the problem may arise later when the plant fight for more light and when they expanding their leaves, the competition for space and food may lead for some of the species will refuse to bloom. Anyway keep rotating the bar for better outcome.Good luck.
