That has real possibilties a tape recorder inside the skull , my squeeking , yapping thingies and rubber snakes , pin wheels and other assorted things were duds , the tree rats made a carnival ride out of the pin wheels while thier friends wet on the squeekers and yappers , and played toss the snake .

I have three things that squeek, yap, wheel about and have had no problems with any animals getting near my yard. They do require some maintenance IE 20 lb bag of science diet food once a month or so. But they also are so happy to see me when I come home from work, shopping or where ever I've been.

    Default Update: Winter Contrast!

Winter is in full swing here and with temperatures running 15 degrees below normal, a little water becomes a lot of fluffy white snow making my patio look a LOT different than 6 months ago.
Now while it's no secret that I have a hard time reconciling my energies with winter (at least winter in Minnesnowta), I do have to admit it is beautiful outside here today. If it would only last 1 or 2 months instead of at least 4....

Here is the view my orchids have looking out the sliding glass doors onto the patio:

One wonders why potato flakes are sprinkled and piled on all the plants like that... doesn't it damage them?!? Hmmm must be some odd northern custom that we here in Key West don't do. <G> It is pretty though.

Thanks for sharing these lovely pics. I am a winter kind of gal so I'd be right at home there! (Incidentally, my sister lives in Minnesota and she loves it.) Here in Texas, the sweltering summers are entirely too long, and so I cherish the winters here, which can get very cold, although not too much snow. I wish it would snow more often around here!
