We had a very wet summer here as well last year. It ruined a lot of people's holidays especially campers. However the gardeners were so happy as there was no need for watering....

Gurj, don't complain just get out there and collect that lovely free rain water!! I have 447 lts of it available to me where I live as we have two 227 litre water butts on my estate. That is the only good thing about living in the UK.

Susie, its disorganised on my end. Because we need to oil the decking, the water butts are stored away. And provided we still don't have a window of crisp summer yet, I can't put the butts back until the deck is oiled.

Yes that is the thing, it's all well and good having water but then you need the sunshine as well to make them bloom. Oh what to do? Move to another country maybe?

Isn't it usually that way in England?

Many areas here could use the rain. Nice pix, btw.

We haven't had rain for almost two months here. All the grass is dead and trees are starting to die. I wish we had some of your rain. The temps here have reached at least 100 everyday for the last 25 days now.

    cheers,
    BD

Hi Bruce, I am also keeping a constant watch on the weather on your side. Its worrying. Sadly, its getting worse by every year, all over the planet. Summer temperatures keep creeping up year after year, the same goes for monsoons and winter. Its the Nature of things, I suppose. Mumbai, India was known to have only monsoons and summer throughout the year, but now you can experience chilly Dec-Feb weather. Its all going pear-shaped.

Bruce; Such exteme weather should suit the High Desert more than Arkansas! Hopefully this is a aberration and not a long term trend. AL
