For all of you on the west coast of Florida. This has been an unusual storm. The weather is actually worse this morning (Monday) than it was yesterday when the storm moved over us. We've experienced stronger winds and continued heavy rain even though the storm has passed us and is well to the west and north of us. Apparently heavy weather is being pulled into the system from the Atlantic on east. So you folks in Tampa can probably expect some pretty bad weather even if the storm passes to the west of you. Good luck.

Looks like we are in the clear as well. We are still due for a few more bands to come through, but for the most part I will be able to put plants back where they belong tomorrow. One thing about these storms. I get everything cleaned up and extra exercise to boot.

Glad to hear things are okay so far - I know what a pain it is to move things areound and tie them down, etc., to get storm-ready, but at least it seems lives aren't being threatened.

I'm a little worried aout our members in and around New Orleans. Hoping some of them will check in. I think Valery lives in Baton, Rouge.

Still praying for the least amount of harm.

Well this has been one strange storm. I live in Lake Worth, a small town just south of west palm beach. Sunday was rain and wind, but last night we got over 11 inches of rain in one feeder band that just sat over us. The news said we got more rain from Issac than we did from Francis which was almost a direct hit for us. Lots of local heavy flooding and a tornado north of us ripped up a few homes. We are still getting rain now from feeder bands. I hope the folks on west coast of Florida don't get this as it moves west. Everyone stay safe.

Glad to hear from most of our Floridians that your all ok . We all know too well the damage that can be caused in these circumstances. I'm thankful that you guys are ok and don't have much serious damage reports . Continue to stay safe and keep us posted as Tamara said .

That's what I was wondering, Nat - I know Valery lives in Baton Rouge, I believe.
