Orchids in Namphake, Assam

    Default Orchids in Namphake, Assam

    Hi Guys,
    Here are a few orchids that i came accross in Namphake and Kaziranga on my visit last year.
    Experts help in id the following :

    The above one was found in a buddhist monastry in Namphake which on my search looks to be Dendrobium chrysotoxum or is it something else ???

    Havent yet ided on this one, experts do help in !!
    This has been the most commonest of orchids in almost all of the assam with just bare stem and no leaves to be seen any plant along with Rhynchostylis Sp. found there.

    Yes looks like Dend. chrysotoxum, the vandaeceous is Papilionanthe teres.

    These for found in abundance in Guwahati City and the forest enroute Jeypore Rainforest as well as the in the national park.
