Default Epiphylium Care (temperature and humidity )

Have several epis that I have kept under artificial lights. Other than that I basically neglected them other than watering them once a week. I have read many care tips. Does anyone know if they can handle high humidity and temperatures in the mid 80"s? I have decided to grow them outside but am afraid these conditions might be too much for them.

I have one epiphylium growing in a tree for many years, I forget the name a basic white flower, grows like a weed but seldom blooms. I always thought they needed a temp difference or lower temps to produce blooms, it has been in temps from 90's to 30's and keeps on growing. I took mine out of the pot and wedged it between some branches and watered it when I remembered, I have an old post somewhere on here about it with some pics.

epiphyllum are easy to grow. they are a tropical cactus, so humidity and heat are no problem. most can survive a light frost, but with some visible damage. most bloom in may or june. not sure if it is temperature only, i think i read that day-length also matters for blooming. i grow them outdoors in southern california, and used to live in the valley where summer is 90's on up and very low humidity. they did great. for good flowering they also need plenty of light, but not really direct sun. they do not like soggy conditions. make sure they have good drainage. i have some blooming this week, and have attempted a cross pollination. my red one should flower later in the month for the first time... stoked!!

Okay with temperature ok in over 75 and humidity high I am no longer concerned of keeping them outdoors. I read they like to have 8 weeks of cool temperatures in the winter but to take in when under 45 degrees. I also read that the fertilizer changes before and after blooming. The values of NPK vary. Any one familiar with what kind of fertilizers should be used?
