    Default My coffee plant seeds

I am about to undertake what seems to be a daunting task. I've become mostly interested in orchids, but for the past year I have loved interesting plants. My favorite before my orchids was brought home from Arizona - my chocolate mint plant....
BUT I just bought some coffee plant seeds onI got a very detailed info sheet and have decided to follow the directions with 2 of the seeds. I just started tonight but I'm very excited to see how this turns out and hopeful it works out just right...

to the forum. I see you have a couple of posts out about orchids and growing them in NH. We have resident members in NH, so I will let them tell you about growing orchids there. As for the coffee plant, well I have never grown one, but have seen thousands of them growing in central and south america. I think you are going to have heat and humidity issues with them, just like orchids. They do not like frost, cold or dry. But if you can get a nice sunny spot in your house high enough in humidity, they might make it. It will be a long time before they produce fruit, if any, so don't throw out the Folger's just yet!
