As ever, they didn't have any IDs so if anyone can help with that, I would appreciate it!

Incidentally, I also went there yesterday with my hands tied in my pocket. So I went home without buying anything.

Those cute looking oncidium types are Tolumnia hybrids. You have to be very careful with them as they are very susceptible to attacks by mealy bugs and scales and die as a consequence, My friends and I have killed scores of them and have given up growing them , in spite of their beautiful blooms. That Phalaenopsis with the brown bars could be a hybrid of cornu-cervi x amboinensis; I have one that looks very similar. I don't think it's a fasciata. Sorry but I'm not a fan of pelorics. Those gerberas are lovely and that purplish blue water lily should brighten up your home. (not a lotus).

Luke, I need to learn how to do that too! I was upset to see that the shop which used to sell a great variety of orchids has changed to selling plants instead!

Thanks, Yew Sung. I'm still very upset with myself for killing my previous very pretty Tolumnia (see photos here) but I think that was more due to me removing the moss around the roots (having added more) because I thought the roots needed to breathe more. I will watch these ones more carefully for pests!

Sadly the water lilies don't seem to be opening up and the outer sepals are beginning to dry up...

the ones in the clear glass are gerberas and the ones in the square vase look like water lily buds or lotus buds
