    Default walking iris

I have the yellow variety and love them! As with most of my non-orchid plants, they are hardy, easy to propogate & beautiful Like my 4 0'clocks, I have patches of them all over the yard, since you just break off the "walkers", stick it in the ground & water. I haven't tried growing them from the many seed pods I get, so I don't know how well that works.

    Default Wow!!

Absolutely astounding, and the yellow caught me by surprise. Like a cross between a Miltonopsis and a spider plant! hehe

    Hi Gin,

Beautiful blooms! My walking iris is several years old and I've noticed that is blooms profusely one year and not at all the next. Is this normal? Is there anything I might do to encourage yearly blooming? I have not changed the location of the plant (it's in a hanging basket that gets morning to midday sun).
valb561 and Gin - I've never seen the yellow variety - bet they are lovely. Could you post a pic for us please?
