Beautiful roses! Anyone can grow them you say? hehe

I think it's neat how some roses smell different than others. I love the multi colored ones...

Those are drop dead gorgeous Diane! I can also smell them. Sigh--no growing them on this mountainside.

Diane, I think maybe you are thinking anyone can grow them here in New York where they grow big, huge, plump, and gorgeous on everyone's front yard. But I bet California its a bit trickier. Congrats!!!!
Over here they grow like, well like wild flowers. The Rose is afterall the State Flower for NY.

Your roses are spectacular!! Roses are my second favorite flowers, and your's look so healthy & happy...I'm jealous. I have about a dozen, but have to battle the deer for possession - last week all bushes were loaded with buds ready to burst.... and two days ago the army came through. Not a bud left behind - just hoof prints.

Mr.Lincoln is my favorite - deep dark red with a fragrance you can follow in the dark!
    Thanks for the pics
    Good job!

Actually, they do tend to have issues with not enough of a dormant period in the winter, and are terribly susceptible to powdery mildew because of our ocean air layer moisture (read foggy) in May and June.. But a little preventative systemic feeding when they first start to bud out and they do well.

    Diame,
Ever had problems with leaf cutter bees? My Tiffany looks like swiss cheese.
