    Default Is that IT?!?

That was the reaction of a friend of mine when I informed her that was she thought was a deformed stem on her Peperomia was a spike. She was excited for a moment at the thought of getting something to bloom [the plant, a gift form me several years ago is one of the few plants she hasn't killed] until I told her that was the bloom. LOL

LOL. Too funny. Sounds like something that I would do! Strange looking blooms too. It is almost like a pipe cleaner or something. Are the tiny dots flowers or is the entire spike a flower?

    Cheers!

    Pavel,

I know you love minis, but I hate to even suggest this to you in your ecstasy many people don't even count them as exisiting.

Gift them cautiously. I won't go any further. I don't want to hurt you. But not everyone understands our obsession. ...and even we are obsessed by different things.

    Sorry!

You recall correctly. It's a compound flower -- quite a common thing in flowering plants really. Sunflowers, and dandilions are two other examples.

Gin, they are indeed arranged in a spiral.

Julie, I didn't give it to her expecting her to bloom it, just was trying to get her something relatively hard to kill.
