    Default Tillandsia duratii

One of my favorite taillandsias. Grows in more of a xerophytic habit. Lots of light. Alot of the xerophytes, (xerographic) will start to recurve their leaves with less water. Kind of an attachment mechanism, also I suspect that it would be an advantage for transpiration. With more water the leaves stick striaght out so the water they lose during transpiration is not as crucial, and when water is not so available, they curl in on themselves so when transpiration does happen the moisture doesnt go anywhere else.

Tillandsia duratii is REALLY fragrant. Fragrance sort of like lilacs, but much more sweet and less perfumey.

Very nice, the flowers are shaped like Pansies, they look very soft and fine.

Me two, Pavel. I did not know they had flowers like this at all. I hope the Tillandsia we have will bloom. It looks beautiful, Daniel.

    Cheers,

I see tillandsia everywhere around here. Now if only I still climbed trees...I'd have a huge collection! Guess I may have to begin looking at them through the binoculars. When I sit and stare up into the trees, people walking by look at me like i've gone mental or something!
That is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing...
