    Default Brugmansia Tropical Sunset

I love these big, unruly, gangly, red spider-mite magnets. I would have to say this is my favorite non-orchid genus of plants...The flower is about 8" in diameter and smells like some sort of nasty amine type drug.

I had one for years but unfortunately lost it a couple of years ago. Mine was yellow and the evening fragrance was intoxicating. I miss it I used to put it into semi dormancy in my basement every winter. I got lazy one winter and forgot to water it

This is one of my favorites and I have cuttings if anyone is interested. They root very easily and will over winter in cold climates in a garage.

That really depends on your definition of good is. To me, these smell sickly sweet...nauseating. I believe the South American natives used to much these plants for that extra special communion. (Don't try this at home...)

I have cuttings of Tropical Sunset as well. Want one Ron? Wanna try these, Diane? (They grow much faster than orchids, I promise. You could probably grow them outside somewhere all year in your climate in semi-shade. But wait, you had a freeze this year, didn't you?)

    Default One more thing, Diane

The cuttings are pretty well rooted and everything. I've got them growing in spag and they have some nodes becoming active and starting to produce leaves.
