Pub Mushrooms
A side dish that goes well with a grilled steaks:
Rinse very well 1 large container of the fresh white button mushrooms
1 or 1 1/2 bottles of any medium dark beer
1/2 stick of butter
2 ounces worcestershire sauce
2 1/2 ounces of Dale's or Moore's steak sauce
Bring to a medium boil uncovered for 8 to 10 minutes. Pour the mushrooms and some sauce over your steak and dunk your bread or rolls in the sauce, it is wonderful. We cook it 2 or 3 times a month when we grill steaks. It's even better the next day after the 'shrooms have soaked a bit!

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box. ...Hmmm? .

Ahh lads and lassies, ya put the da'k beer in the recipe. Then ya put the Chivas on the table (or in my case the lite beer).
Darwin is a stickler for recipes, but I wonder how this would be with another mushroom. The Dale's is very salty but the small amount doesn't overpower the mushroom flavor; even with buttons. Anyone want to try it with shitake or cremini (sorry my sps not goot) or another mushroom and let us know? Dang, getting hungry. Love mushrooms!
