puff pastry olives
1 jar of large green olives, stuffed with pimento, jalapeno, garlic or anchovy
1 sheet puff pastry thawed
cut the pastry in 3/4" strips and cut the strips in thirds. Brush the short sides with water and wrap each olive with a strip of pastry, place seam side down and bake 425 for 20-25 min or golden brown and puffed.
Serve plain or with dijon or honey mustard.
Can be frozen before baking

Gotta try it! Sounds nice when you have someone over for margaritas! Now I need something cheesy.

OK folks, I am (was) NOT a green olive person. HOWEVER. These are FABULOUS!!! Yes, me, nonoliveeater, noncookatall, LOVED them. And I will serve these the next chance I get.
Ya'll should have seen Cin and Mr. Hicks in action at the Big Green Egg Fest. It was poetry in motion. If we are lucky, maybe they will post their Smoked Tenderloin with Fig Sauce recipe.
We had a wonderful time, learned a lot about cooking on the BGE, and ate unimaginable delectable delights for two days straight. Thanks to C&T for hosting us at the Fest. Sorry I can't post a pic of the tenderloin/fig sauce (too busy eating) and the olive pic is pre-cook. That's me and Darwin with his new BGE hatchling (we named it Wyzoski) Enjoy!

The REAL cuties were Cin and Terry. After all, they brought and COOKED the FOOD!
McJulie, you got it right, mo' be tellin'. Just look at the way Darwin is holding his drink waaaaaay out of my reach. Fortunately, he's a sucker for, "Hey, LOOK! What's that????" gulp gulp
