    Default Kung Pao sauce

    a family secret I got from my mom. actually not so much a secret, she doesn't care who knows, lol. This is by far my favorite sauce for stir-frying stuff. works with any fried nugget, i.e. beer batter chicken nuggets, panko-encrusted fish, mix and match.

    mix the following in a bowl:
    1 Tbsp sugar
    1 tsp vinegar
    1 tsp sesame oil
    1 Tbsp light soy (the regular kind)
    0.5 Tbsp dark soy (for color)
    0.5 Tbsp whiskey
    1 tsp corn starch

    Saute chopped garlic and a pinch of crushed hot red pepper in a frying pan, add the pre-fried chicken or fish nuggets, and drizzle the sauce over the nuggets. Add a little water as needed to make the final sauce.
