Default Birth of a Monarch Butterfly

I know that I have posted pictures of the hatching of Monarch butterflies before but today I witnessed the actual hatch, it is amazing and only lasts about 15 seconds. Here are the pictures.
    Thanks for looking, Cin

It's really such a miracle, isn't it? Wonderful to be an eye witness. You have a special cage for your butterflies? Where do you get the immatures?

The cage is for the middle age caterpillars, the babies are so small that they could go right through the screen and are quite the escape artists. I collect the eggs from the host plants in the garden.

Wonderful post, thanks for sharing it. I have had the opportunity to witness it but never had a camera handy at the time. I love watching "mother nature" in action. I sat for an hour or so one day and watched a garter snake make lunch out of a frog.
