Lunch in the medieval village just outside of Lyon.
Just sitting in the bench in the park and watching people walk by.
Eating real regional Lyonnaise food.

And, many many more.

Default I saw it during the bus tour.

And, later, when I went back to the area to shop.

But, I did not take the opportunity to go to the Arc de Triumphe itself. Shopping was overwhelmingly the priority. :-)

Seriously, I had very little time to go around.

Nelson, sounds like a great time...I love traveling and I am in need of a vacation. I have an open invite to the Isle de Groix off the coast of Brittany. I am so tempted to take advantage of it but this is the summer for me to be doing the University hunt with my son.

have an axiom, that if we love to travel we should do it during those times when we are physically fit to do so.

Many of us are not really well to do and can afford only to travel when we have saved enough for it. But we are doing it when our legs are strong enough, not when we are already 75, lol.....

Next year hopefully a couple of friends and myself are doing Rome, Florence, and Milan.
