Default watercolor painting

I've been working on watercolor painting lately, trying to get it right, so I haven't been around the forum. I think I am making progress and getting better.
I just finished Blc. Dora Louise Capen 'Lea' HCC/AOS (or I think now AM/AOS) based on the photo from our forum's book "Orchids Through Our Eyes". According to the book I believe it is Clint's plant. Lots of nice pictures in there, so everyone get a copy.
It's hard to accurately photograph paintings, but here it is only slightly off. (If I get a better photo I'll edit the post)

That is AWESOME - Fren! Wow! You are so talented. Clint will be blown away when he sees this too! I love the way you use the blue and black around the bloom to focus the eye. How large is the watercolor? It has such nice detail - hard to do well with watercolor. I love it!

Cheers,
BD

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box. ...Hmmm? .

You are so talented, Fren. I wish I could draw stick figures properly. I am so happy to have provided the inspiration

Gorgeous painting, Fren! You are super talented and artistic!

I'm with Clint, my stick figures are typically unrecognizable. I have come to accept that I can be creative in a non-artistic sort of way!
