    Default A Marinduque sojourn

I spent the past four days in Marinduque island-province, about 30 to 35 minutes by plane southeast of Manila.

Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us.

I always love seeing other parts of the world, which I might never get to see without others so generously sharing their photos.

What a beautiful place. I'm sure you will return!!

Thanks so much Nelson for sharing. Gives me something to day dream about while I lay in bed resting my recently broken ankle. It seems the older I get the clumsier I get!

Thanks for the photos, Nelson! That does look like a serene place to visit.

(Love the colors and shapes on those pupae, btw)

What a wonderful place. Maybe someday I can visit there too. Thank you so much, Nelson. I have to say, I really love your sense of style. Your photos and descriptions always bring to life the places you visit. Thanks.

    Cheers,

Very nice and personal pictures (nothing "touristy" about them, which is great!)

    Thank you, all.
I wanted to do justice to the place.
In fairness, I got along well with my hosts, who didn't want me to spend a single cent, so my only expense were the airline tickets. I got to dine with the governor and his extended family, who are first cousins of my hosts. Swam in the hot springs pools, where I felt like being stewed and simmered. I couldn't stand the hot springs sulfur pools. They looked sludgy and the stink was horrifying.

Maybe if you dipped with me in the hot springs you'd get better ASAP! There was a complex of sulfur hot springs, too.

Thank you so much, Nelson. The descriptive text made it all the better. Also, great use of the word macabre. Joe
