    Default Speaking of Reptiles

    While we're on the subject of reptiles, THIS is a REPTILE!! LOL

    This is very healthy alligator and ready to ambush under direct sunshine....eeeee looked at the sharp teeth's there I am so scared to see this creature.

    Zainal, alligators are actually very interesting creatures.

    On dry land, they can out run humans in a short sprint. Mostly though, as long as you don't corner them, they just lie there, basking in the sunshine. Of course, mothers with new babies can be very dangerous.

    This one isn't being threatening with that mouth open. That's how they adjust their body temperature.

    That looks like an American Crocodile rather than an Alligator. Brilliant photo Anne.

    Yep. Compare the American 'Gator to the Australian Croc!

    The American 'Gator is just a big lizard compared to the vicious and agressive saltwater Croc.

    Laurent, I wasn't right on top of it, but close enough that in a sprint, I probably would have lost. What I did was to keep the rear bumper of the car between me and it. I got off the one shot and suddenly it was gone. I think I was using a 400mm lens though. LOL

    You would need a very LARGE moat. This one was the biggest danged gator I've ever seen. It was HUGE!! LOL
