    Cool Peacocks in Dunedin Fl.

We went to a local cemetery in Dunedin Florida, that is know to have Peacocks. We did manage to see one male and three females. One of the females had three chicks. From what I have been told, the males don't like to see their own reflection. If you have a good wax coating on your car,or a bunch of chrome. They will peck at your car and do damage! They have no fear, one of the females, kept getting closer and closer. You don't get to see these kind of animals in Ohio, except at the zoo ! Enjoy,Rich

Absolutely gorgeous and great photos, My mom gets them in her garden every now and then from the estate and they are huge he only has a relatively small back garden and they really are enormous in it. Their plumage is fantastic and so so beautiful but did you know it is meant to be bad luck to have a peacock feather inside your home?

These are great shots, Rich. I love seeing the little chicks in the final two shots. Did they make a lot of noise? I remember them from childhood and one memory is the loud noise they made - especially when disturbed by something.

    Cheers,
    BD

Yes, we have peacocks in this area as well. They do stories about them every so often as someone is tired of listening to them call. They are super loud and will give you a start if you aren't used to them. lol
I love your pics...such tiny little chicks! Thanks for sharing...
