I know that can happen but in all my years I have never had a bad amazon. I love my south american guys. My brother in florida has an awesome grey. I love to listen to it talk in his voice!

I chose Grey mainly because from what I read in my research they are the quietest bird in the parrot world since I lived in a tiny apartment that time I needed to find one suitable for apartment living.

I would love to have one of those big cuddly cockatoos as well but they can be too needy, clingy, and loud. I heard a lot of different stories where they were given up because of those problems. Maybe when I retire and have more time to spend. There is this bird store where I get my parrot stuff not too far from where we live where they have most of their bird around the store and you can actually play and pet them (they are all tame) and they have cockatoos all the time.

Last year I went to Coron town in Palawan, and the house I stayed in had a talking bird.

Its favorite word to call out whenever someone passed by was "pangit" meaning, ugly.
    It thought that was hilarious.
Imagine passing by and someone calls out to you, "Ugly! Ugly! Ugly!". I was half afraid someone in a bad mood would wring its neck.
