    Default a few sunset pics..........

Snapped a few pictures the other day as I was standing on my balconey. I've had this little inexpensive camera for a number of years. Takes some pretty decent shots for something that is no where near top of the line (or even middle of the line for that matter ). It still catches me off guard once in a while, however, just how different the pictures can be from what my eyes see. Perhaps with a higher quality camera this wouldn't be such an issue? I don't recall having such issues with my old Canon slr. Ah well, everything has its pluses and minuses, eh?

This first one -- the flash went off. Apparently the camera thought it was dark enough to need one. Needless to say the flash was ineffective in lighting up the clouds. The result was a dark, somewhat ominous sky. I rather liked the effect.

Here's the next shot with no flash. But it came out a bit lighter than 'reality'.

With just a tiny bit of 'tweaking' -- this is closer to how the sky actually appeared.

    A short time later

Lovely progression shots. I really like the final shot and the first one (with flash).

    Thanks for sharing these.

    Cheers,

The first one reminds me of the sky the night before a hurricane hits! Nice job.

Awesome. The third pic is my fav. I just painted a sunset like that with the dark purple down to the bright yellow. Throw in a few island mountains, tropical water, and a palm tree and you've got a painting. But nothing compares to the real thing. Great pics, thanks for sharing!
