I was on my balcony the other day, tending to my chids. The squirrels were squawking up a storm.I thought that there might be a stray cat in some bushes below.I started to look around from the second floor and saw this 3 - 3 1/2 foot green & black snake.I thought it was a pretty cool lookin snake.I have to admit that I'm much into snakes. My girl friend was freaking out.I told her,if you stay upstairs she'd be okay.Welcome to Florida !! Enjoy,Rich

Golleeee .... he errr she does have a toughie look in the eyes specially on the second photograph. That's probably what freaked out the 'lil squirrels around. LOL!
Nice to have one here to keep mice around under control!
A garter snake, a member of colubrid snake family.
Passes by to look over for a meal like mice or small bird chicks.
Nice little garter snake. You'd faint at my place with our carpet python and two boas!
