I thought summer was officially over, yesterday the temperature in my area reached 109 degrees, 113 in some parts of Los Angeles. I managed to bring down some of my hanging cymbidiums that are on the sides of the shade house but I forgot to checked my friend's plants (we share the shade house and I'm taking care of her plants while she is out of the country) This morning while I'm watering hers I found out that a lot of her cymbidiums got toasted. I think I'm in trouble.
Sounds like August here in Arkansas!
Oh Marissa! I am in the North Bay area and didn't realize until ten minutes before I had to leave for work that the temp here was supposed to reach 102F! Until then, lots of my babes were getting full sun for much of the day...I was late for work obviously, as I made a mad dash at moving and watering them. Sorry to see that your friends plants suffered! I would have forgotten too. Hope you aren't lashed too hard.
That's hot Marissa. Hope your friend understands.Any way she should feel grateful she has someone to care for her plants while she's away.
