In a very small area of forested area, I came across Nepenthes ammpullaria, Nepenthes rafflesiana and Nepenthes gracillis. However, I think I encounter at least 10,000 (counting the number of bites of different shape and sizes on me) species of mosquitoes

Eeeew! Mosquito bites. You should have used some mosquito repellent.

Singapore's mosquitoes are handpicked and gone through intense military training. They are immune to biological warfare (mosquito repellent) and totally impossible to wipe out.
