    Nice flowers! It's quite cool to see a cactus bloom. When I mean bloom, I mean *really* bloom (like yours ). Once I was at a store and almost bought a cactus with a yellow "flower", only to find out in a few secs that the "flowers" were colored fake straw things glued on to the cactus. Could even see the drop of glue if I looked close enough. lol. Yours look healthy and happy to be blooming!

    haha.
    this reminds me of our boxer who used to eat my moms cacti.
    she bought some others to replace the eaten ones, settling on some with some very nasty looking spines like this one.
    ...what do you know, the boxer ate them too!

    That was worth the wait , very pretty , do the flowers close up at night or on dull days ? Gin

    Gin-
    Yeah, they do fold inwards slightly at night. The second flower lasted a few days longer than the first, and now the third is lasting even longer. Not sure what that's about except to think that the cooler temps (days in the mid 70's and nights in the mid 50's now) is helping them last longer.
