Ok, I will *grudgingly* admit. He does, on occasion, have some *minimal* entertainment value, and I *try* to be his friend when you're not here. But only when he's got the munchies after deck time does he take a peanut without trying to take my hand with it,

AND I HAVE THE HORRIBLE, DISFIGURING SCARS ON MY FINGERS TO PROVE IT.

Nothing but a mean, tropical chicken.

    Argh...*grumbles* tropical chicken.

He only bites your fingers because he sees you stealing his peanuts and eating them! Payback is .

    Cheers!

Murphy...a parrot vampire...the dreaded Macaw Sucker...

The clock strikes twelve and the scarred disfigured grower known as "Louis" - his real name long since forgotten - rises up to water orchids. There are so many. And the undead posess none of the fervor of the living. They doggedly do what they must. But they've long sinced ceased to love the doing. For Louis the challenge is to water them all before the sun rises. The sun. That source once worshipped for its warmth and brillance. Now shunned for its darker verdict on his even darker soul. But, as they say, evil's in the eye of the beholder...

    See?

Julie's on *my* side this time, sort of.

Murphy's REAL shape, and I got bit, and that's why I'm the way I am:

The sun is starting to rise as Louis wakes , he grabs a shirt , throws it on and starts for the door . He hears that familiar sound of feathers being groomed , rustle ,rustle, snap . Murphy is waking up ! Murphy is hungry . whetting his beak back and forth he waits . ..... Sushi Louis ! lolol .

That is *so* right on the mark, it's scary. That beak-whetting sound he does--gnashing the two of them together as I walk by. That's *exactly* what he does. Just making sure they're good and sharp enough. And then the lunge just as I pass.

    Yep, that's our little sweetheart.

Louis--I can't believe you finally posted a photo of how you really look! Wow, that took courage. Not many people can pull the whole undead look off the way you do. Bravo!

    And Kewpie....."Chicken recipes"?????, *Ouch*

And Julie ....Well, that post was just a bit confusing. Pouring fuel on the "Louis Fire" no doubt.

Thanks for the nice comments about Murph. He does have a big personality. This morning he was so funny. I took him off of his night perch to bring him to his big cage where he eats and has bells, etc and as I picked him up, he purred and rubbed his head against my cheek and said "Hi". So sweet.

    Cheers!

    Sorry Bruce,

Wasn't actually taking sides. I've just been reading horror stories lately and the idea of a vampire macaw sort of stuck in my brain.

Murph is one photogenic bird - thanks for the pics!

    Julie
