    Hah!

Gin doesn't stoop to any of that silly Harry Potter children's magic.

Gin, I'll trade you my Nimbus 2000 for a piece of your 'Red Fantasy'

Ok I'll just gather the wild geckos, iguana and a few scorpions and go to the confluence of the gulf and atlantic oceans with my athame and staff wearing my druid robes and my greenman pendant, draw the scared circles and runes, call the four watchtowers and associated guardians and then we shall see how her feathers fly. WHAHAHAHAHA

The scary part is the tourists would probably drop a few bucks into the cauldron and the locals wouldn't bat an eye.

Gin--I was totally just kidding about trading for that. Wolf quoted a "spell" that one of the characters in a Harry Potter movie chants. A Nimbus 2000 is the "advanced" model of broom that Harry Potter rides.

So, ok, it was a bad joke.....

    Unhappy

End of the Grackle story , A good ending . Grackie is being a wild bird , it found others like it's self . I don't think it will come back this time . Louis and Bruce be sure and have fresh stinkies waiting when it lands . It also likes corn and fish . Gin

Glad to hear he (or she?) has happily joined his own kind. I'm sure you'll miss him a little--I know I always did when I released an orphaned baby bird or rabbit--but he wouldn't be alive but for your care. Any last pictures of him?

Still have enormous numbers of grackles here--they seem to have moved from the maples to the spruces--maybe they'll get rid of some of the $#^%* bud worms!

    Cheers,

    Rob
