Sorry Pavel, I did not answer the question. Yes, I do.
Tecnnically, we have a fresh water swamp on our backyard (wetlands), not mentioning thousands and thousands ponds all different sizes all around us.

I rather expected that to be the case. To the best of my knowledge, if one has cottonmouths there will be a wetlands or other waterbody close by.

Thanks guys, the suns not up yet, waiting to see where he'll be today, I'll let you know. Keep your fingers crossed he got the idea I don't want him around. We have cottonmouth snakes around too, but they stay out back near a pond that has small fish in it.
I just want my orchids in the pot, no extra critters please!

Mambas and cobras and many other venomous snakes also have round eyes! lol

Hi Pavel- my husband agrees with the Racer id- he used to keep one, it was the fastest snake we have ever kept! They need a large vivarium in captivity so they can feel less restricted.Plus they don't like being handled much. Easy to care for otherwise.

Fortunately for us in North America, none of the venomous snakes have round pupils with the exception of the coral snake (which is incredibly shy and very distinctive in appearance)
