My husband the "snake expert" says thankyou for reminding him- he'd forgotten about that important fact! Many thanks.

Well said Jonada! and the snake has been i.d'ed as harmless -but then if he's muching all the Frogs in the area that's maybe not too welcome either! The one we kept did eat rodents, but in the wild they have more choice on the menu!

I think (knock on wood) he may have gotten the message to move on, 2nd day snake free. I'm still trying to find some of my babies like this little guy.

No more snake, No more baby frogs, don't know if they were doing the orchids any good, but they probably were eating some bad flying insect. I guess the baby frogs was what my snake was after. It sure didn't take him long to clean them out. Now, when I see the frogs I can start looking for the snakes.

I suppose when one sort of creature is welcomed to your environment it's attendant predators are hard to exclude- and so life goes on! Frogs normally do have a lot of tadpoles so maybe half of them would eventually go towards sustaining other creatures in the food chain. It's been a very interesting saga and we hope your frogs do come again- with or without the snakes -keep a sharp eye out! Cheers, from the snake keeping half of the Bungaraya department.
