    Exclamation Whooooooooooa a snake

Out doing my usually orchid check this morning and I was checking my mounted ones and I saw this lizards head looking at me, the more I looked I realized that's not a lizard that's a snaaaaake.

In with my mounted orchids I have a bunch of tillandsias, and this fellow was so wrapped around a 5x5 inch tillandsia. He was about three feet with nice round eyes. I think all the rain we have had drove him to find a dryer sunnier place. I guess he was waiting for one of my baby frogs to hop by. Sure gave me a start!!!!

Looks like it is actually posing for the camera with them eye. I would have run a mile. Do you know what type of snake it was.

Cute bugger! Love the blue highlights. My first thought was possible a blue racer (Coluber constrictor foxii) but that is rather unlikely as they are relatively rare -- especially in proximity to human inhabitation. More likely would be a black racer (Coluber constrictor priapus).

Whoa! I don't like snakes. I saw one of my garage today, again. There was one there a few weeks ago and I've been looking for him ever since.. Maybe it's the same one, but I don't like snakes.

We have a black snake out front. It is more afraid of me than I was of him...for a change. Your pictures are great! I love the first one, he's such a poser!

Not to worry...he has a round eye, and is harmless. We welcome harmless snakes here...they kill & eat grasshoppers, rats and mice. I think that you are very lucky to have him/her around...Betty :-)

Any snake charmers out there? How do you get rid of snakes. He's back and he just decided to move over to the orchids. Lots of little frogs and baby lizards. What now!!!!!

Why do you want to get rid of him? He is cute and will keep down on pests.
