Saturday was a perfect fall day on the south coast of Maine. Had lunch with my parents (clam chowdah!) and took these shots afterwards. I'll send them in installments of 4 at atime. Cape Porpoise is one of the outcroppings along the coast that has been a beauticul but particularly treacherous harbor for centuries. For the States, this community is one of the oldest and dates back to the 1640s.
Hope you enjoy the tour!

Thanks for coming along!
like a postcard!
I'm a big fan of turquoise anything! I love all the small rowboats.
Maura, those were lovely - thank you for sharing! My mother was born and raised in Turner, Maine, about an hour's drive north of Portland. I'll have to share these with her.
Great shots of the waterfront. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, it's a beautiful place.
I'm delighted that everyone enjoyed my Maine travel log pictures. This IS a beautiful place - far more beautiful than the photos can show, and truly an inspiration to take the best shots I can. Still learning, but getting there slowly....
Thanks to all -
Wonderful shots, a couple inspire me to get my brush and paints out. Maine is a special place and the citizens of Maine are a special group of people. Lobster ain't too shabby either ! ! !
