    Default Halloween Snow Storm

I can't believe what is happening here in Southeastern Pennsylvania. We are having a tremendous snow storm. They are calling for 12 to 15 inches of very wet heavy snow. Trees and power lines are down, and roads and businesses are being closed. What is really bad is the storm is to continue to intensify and not end for another 8 plus hours. It is really sad to see so many old and beautiful trees in all their autumn glory being destroyed by the heavy snow . When I am out on our deck all I hear is the cracking and crashing of limbs and trees as they crash to the ground in the woods behind our home. This weather is really frightening. I hope this isn't a preveiw of what lies ahead for us this winter--but am afraid it is. Am glad I brought my cymbidiums in earlier this week. It is snowing so hard now that I can't see out the windows. They say tomorrow and the rest of the week will be sunny and in the 50's.

I heard yesterday about the heavy winter storms throughout the nation. Here we are enjoying beautiful weather (80s in the days, 60s overnight). But we feel for you!

Well Bill I hear what your saying and I sympathize. I guess you get to hunker down tonight at least knowing this snow storm won't last. AL

Man oh man! Oh yeah...that's why I live in Florida! I'm originally from Michigan and do not miss that stuff. Snow before halloween?? Hmm... Mother nature must be in one foul mood!

Great pictures, Bill. Can't believe such beauty can cause so much destruction. The world's weather is going crazy this year. Our country is on high alert for floods and the government is getting ready more than 4000 flood relief centres.

Snowy/slushy Halloweens were the norm when I was a kid in northern lower Michigan. Been rather strange to me the last decade or so NOT having snow by then.

You took some beautiful shots, Bill! None of this has hit us (for which I am quite happy). The weather this year has been weird. Maybe Mother Nature is in a holiday mood and decided to play a "trick" on you.
