As you can see there is plenty of room at our Christmas table and your more than welcome to join us. LOL I wish! Yesterday we did our annual Christmas trip to Longwood Gardens and to another duPont estate called Winterthur. Both were decorated for the Holidays but Longwood Gardens won hands down for the most spectacular and lavish display. The focal display was this table set for a Christmas feast. Down the center of the table was a beautiful runner made of mosses upon which were placed pots of white phals, red begonias, white hydranges and glass ornaments. Placed amoung those elements were the large vases planted with white phals, other vases filled with white glittered branches and elaborate silver candlelabra. On each place setting were elegantly wrapped presents. Each chair had a beautiful sheer ribbon bow of gold. I estimated the cost of such a floral display would be around $20,000 and that is being conservative even here in my area. In the larger metropolitan areas it would easily cost $30,000 and up. Boy the greenhouse I could build with that money. LOL Hope you will enjoy our holiday outing. I will do several threads of both attractions. Happy Holidays to each of you and may the Power you believe in protect and bless you and yours.

I love the canal next to the chairs - one glass too many, pull the chair back, and splash !
Why does soething a bit OTT like that , bring out the nasty streak in my nature, could it be envy ?
