Took these pics at around 7:30am today. For those unfamiliar with winter in the 'northern lands', at that time of day everything really does have this blueish tint. Had considered waiting until things brightened up, but the winds were picking up and I didn't know if the snow would stay stuck to the trees as that occurred.

Before the storm arrived, there was no snow whatsoever on the ground.

Btw, those deciduous trees in the background are around 60-70ft tall (maybe more).

The branches of the prostrate shrub in the background were originally in the vertical position before the storm. It is a 7-8ft tall dogwood.

Those are beautiful photographs. I think I'll stick to my Florida winters except when I go skiing.

H-O-L-Y cow, Paul, that is a lot of snow. Simply stunning photography.

And like Jeff, I'll stick to Florida but the only skiing I do is on the water. They are predicating the coldest weather of the season tonight so I'm moving orchids and coming inside to warm up between moves.

Reminds me of my early childhood in Serbia (Yugoslavia at the time) in the era of proper reliable winters when snow fell and stayed for 2 or 3 months... and made it a kids' paradise! Pavel, thanks for these glorious pictures.
