Here are some pictures of the other tea estate which is the main tea prdoucer in our country. Sadly many smaller tea estates have closed down over the years due to higher labour costs. Tea planting is labour intensive especially picking the young shoots which must all be done by hand. Almost all the labourers are migrant workers from Bangladesh, Indonesia and Nepal.

The green/blue workers quarters and some of the workers' own houses and the community's own Hindu temple are very photogenic. The other picture is of the estate's own tea-house.

Default Sunset at Tanjung Rhu, Langkawi

Recently I was a guest of the owner of a 4 1/2 Star beach resort in Langkawi Island, known as the 'Island of Legends'. Here at Tanjung Rhu, on the beach front of the hotel is the best place to view the sunset. In the tropics, twilight lasts for less than 10 minutes and one has to be quick to get some decent pictures. These were the best I could manage.

Yew, really a nice place to spend holiday. How is the weather there in the end of September. Still rain.
Have you ever been using polarisation filter for landscape photography?

Sept - Oct is the inter-monsoon period and very unsettled weatherwise. , with heavy rains and thunderstorms interspersed with short dry spells. Dec - Feb are the cool dry months and is the best time to visit Langkawi. Unfortunately this is also our local school holidays in December and crowded with local tourists as well as European tourists and also China tourists, who want to escape their winters.

I used to use the polariser a lot when I was shooting slides in the days of film but not now with digital photography. Strange but the polariser is not so effective shooting at the Equator. Any way I have only the 52mm filter thread which doesn't fit the bigger filter threads of my current lenses. Polarisers are too expensive nowadays.

Yew, sorry my question was related to CH and not Langkawi.
Yes I know on Equator the polariser is not so effective, but should also make colors more bright, make clouds more visible and remove air turbity

Sorry Mietek, I misunderstood. CH is like the rest of Malaysia, with rain most afternoon, and the inter-monsoon applies here as well. I normally would not visit CH during this period.
