    Default The Babies have arrived

This year Mama cardinal only had two, remember last year she had three. She was out taking a break, while I took a pic. Their eyes aren't opened yet. Orchids do something besides make pretty flowers they make the perfect home for baby cardinals.

Cute! Never had cardinals try to nest on my balcony or in one of the plants. Did have mourning doves nest on my balcony one year. While it was neat watching the babies grow up, I would never let doves do so again -- they were incredibly filthy birds.
