What about the beautiful green beach made of olivine? I have a small container of it as I collect sand. It's really pretty.

    Works in Progress

Filled the right side with mostly perlite and a bit of potting medium. Stuck some plants in that I've found around the house but will probably be changing it as I find little plants at the nurseries.

A friend just gave me a baby Beta and that's in the pondlette (for lack of a better word) on the other side. He doesn't seem to mind the waterfall too much, but I'll only turn it on once in a while to filter the water and keep it from turning green.

LOL! You do have a great eye! He's a little tiny thing, maybe an inch long if that.
...and the little tiny pellets that I fed him is too big for his mouth, so he holds it like a balloon and sucks on it until it softens up.
I may have to crush it up, but the pellets are soo small that it would probably disintegrate. LOL!

Ah yes I had a baby betta- now a full grown betta- that did that sucking thing. I would put the food in a far corner and call her over and point to it. It would soften up enough while we played the locate game.
