I'm so glad you brought this thread back. I did not see it originally. I love the pictures and the stories accompaning them. The head of our house is our Shih Tzu 'Boo'. She is full of personality and very vocal. I no longer need an alarm clock. Long before I would normally wake she licks the back of my neck, ready for her early morning excursion. She knows every cat in the neigborhood and has a beau, a beautiful boxer named Zeke. They nuzzle through the fence each morning.

I had never seen this post either! Glad you brought it back. many of you have already seen harold in her cameos as i try to take pics of my orchids, but for the newcomers, this is my long-haired (ever shedding) main coon named Harold. She had a sister named Maude until about three years ago. Those two were thick as theives, though now I think Harold has embraced her life as a spinster/school marm of the house. And yes, she is a girl kitty with a boy name. She was so fuzzy as a kitten, I didn't want to "get up in her business" so I just guessed. oops. oddly enough, I guessed wrong with Maude too. Fortunately, neutering took care of any sexual identity crisis.

This is Pippin....sorry, Prince Pippin. He is a polydactal ( he has extra toes on his front paws ) and that can provide entertainment at times - like when he tries to move fast. But, you can see from the photo, moving fast really isn't his thing.
Here is is beckoning me to sit - sit and pet me, please! His nicknames are padfoot, drool-bucket, fuzzball, hairy beast.....and lover boy

They're all such cuties! Although I think Tinker Toy as a kitten is simply too cute!
