Ah, very nice. I'm landlocked by an hour and a husband who hates the beach LOL. But I hope to make it this week actually.... I just LOVE the beach. Not the burning in the hot sun or swimming in the cold water full of creatures, but the walking and the driving and looking and exploring.... and the shops hehe!
Thanks for a beautiful pic :c)

What a picture--almost makes risking the hurricane zone seem reasonable. Is that Bigfoot's footprint in the foreground?

I wouldn't be down there for hurricane! My grandmother rode out a few hurricanes down there, and she told me stories of the water washing completly over the island! But then again the island is only about 150-200 yards across!

That's very pretty! I could go up there for the summer, but the winters are way to cold for my thin blood!

There we go ... Since I was a former New Englander (a Bostonian to be more exact), I sense much familiarity and like that coastline very much. It reminds me of many sweet memories ...

    Cheers. Hoa.

It does get chilly here in the winter. This was a shot of the same harbor in Jan '05. The steam coming off the water is referred to as sea smoke, and you only see it in extremely cold weather (usually sub-zero temps.)

Our rocky coastline is beautiful, but it doesn't possess the ruggedness of the Pacific coastline, which is gorgeous in its own way. (As is the FL coast!)

I didn't know you started out in Boston, Hoa...how often do you come back this way?
