Quaker parrots are so pretty, but their squak sure can be annoying!

I know they're there by their squawks...
They have nests across the street & when they have a quarrel, you know about it

I think they are beautiful. I have a blue and gold macaw, Murphy, so I know about the squawks!

    Cheers!

People love parrots, .....when I take a morning walk I hear squawks that are from homes, not wild.... wonder what the neighbors think

Wow!! I would love to have those birds in my yard. I see that pretty dove peeking through the branches. We have many large white wing doves and small mexican doves at our feeder daily. No pretty parrots, cardinals or jays in the desert. Lots of red finches, pigeons of all colors and mockingbirds. We have large Indian Laurel trees in our yard and sometimes hundreds of big black grackles try to move into them. They are very noisy and undesirable as neighbors so my husband chases them out. It is dove hunting season in our area now and thousands of hunters come from the cities to shoot our beautiful white wing doves. The farmers welcome them since the multiplying doves can destroy the grain crops. I have had a family of large cactus wrens in the past. It was fun watching the mother teach the babies to feed. Beautiful pictures, thanks for sharing them.

Are those parrots native birds, or were they introduced?

I love the monk parakeets but we only see them flying over never at the feeders, I see that you feed them corn, is it a big draw for them? Does it bring the squirrels AKA rats with better PR.

Quakers are very cold hardy there is a large colony of them in a park in Ill.
Not native , from So. America .
They tend to be a one person bird and will bite the P jeez out of other family members I know about this first hand .
They are not legal to have in Kansas .
Pretty pictures thanks for sharing them Gin
