ROFLMAO!!! I am glad I'm not the only one who would be doing the "get off of me!!" dance.

I've got a pair of black snakes that like to hang up in plant baskets in the morning to get sun. The first time I noticed them they scared the krap out of me, but after that first time I expect to see them there. Which they are every morning!

Molly, that would have ended my orchid growing, outdoors at least. I am very afraid of snakes as a result of having a 5 foot black snake dropped on me. I was about 12 years old when a neighborhood boy got up into an apple tree in our yard. He called for me and when I went out he dropped the snake on me. It coiled around me and I screamed so much that I am certain that it was more frightened than I was. The boy stopped laughing when my dad got hold of him.

Nelson ..You would of heard me screech clear to your house .
Last week a friend came to buy a pair of finches , she loves plants , we went to the enclosed porch , laying on a Brom. was a garter snake , when it saw us it wiggled off the Brom . She calmly bent down grabbed it by the head and put it outside ... surprised the heck out of me, I assumed she would scream and run , just goes to show can never tell about people Gin

The only snake story I have isn't a creepy one, it's a kitty one. Back when I owned a house I had a good-sized side yard. I'd been traveling on business for nearly a month this was back when I mowed the grass myself - I liked the exercise and still had the time. The grass was perhaps a foot tall before I got to it.

Snake city! As I mowed, my two cats were leaping and pouncing through the tall grass, chasing the snakes that slithered away from the sound of the mower. I think life for them has been a disappointment since that glorious afternoon.

Cin, your guy's coloration is very attractive. Please tell him I said so!
