    That's a pretty neat shot! And I think your gardne looks like a true oasis one can get lost in whilst sipping cocktails!!! Just beautiful!

    Actually the heron is rather large adult, he just looks small in that picture, He is also starting to get his breeding plumage at the base of his neck. They start building nests in the pine trees around this time of the year. Feeding the herons is discouraged but if you do the silly birds have been known to peck holes in your screens if you don't produce their dinner.
