    Default Critters

Some of the birds we saw on our vacation. Barred owl, eagle, and a pileated woodpecker that found a meal in a log on our campsite. The woodpecker photo was taken from inside our RV.

This guy hung around our camper looking for a handout. I've never seen a wood stork this close. How in the world did this guy get picked to deliver babies?????

Great Shots Tami. Aren't those wood storks UGLY, and they drool when they are begging for a hand-out.

I really enjoyed these pictures Tami! What a wealth of animal life there was there, and you got good pictures of them! I think the stork is so ugly he's kinda cute. And he likes people--or at least their goodies!

Wonderful! Can almost feel the soft FL air! That sunset is gorgeous!

I get to visit Florida in March; don't use up all the creature sighting opportunities before I can get there!

By the way Tami--where were these taken?

Hi Mehera, March is a great time to visit FL. Stop by Pensacola and visit us! The wildflowers will be showing off.
The pics were taken at Myakka River State Park and on Sanibel Island. The owl and the pileated woodpecker were at Manatee Springs State Park. Here's a pic of the springs:
