    Default New Tattoo

Well I got a new tattoo today, and thought that I would show it off to you all. It seems that I have found the artist to do all of my schomb tattoos. This tattoo isn't a flower though..... It is a tattoo of the hurricane monument right behind my church in Islamorada from the hurricaine of 1935.

Wow Aaron! You sure found the right person--that is beautifully executed! The design is very nice. How long did it take?

Thanks! It took about 3 and a half hours. Below is a pictue of the original monument so you can see a comparison. The original monument was hand carved out of coral rock!

The art is very well done, Aaron! And what a great spot - it's your own personal testament to your history in FL, readily visible. Nicely done!

i like it! i judge tattoos by the question 'why would you put something on your skin that you wouldn't hang on your wall?".... that i would hang...

Thanks everyone. I am very much the same way when it comes to tattoos.... I love art, and nice looking things. I just don't understand why people get stuff like the tribal things, or skulls, and such. All of my tattoos bare a deep meaning to me, and they are tastefully done. I actually get alot of complements on them. I found the artist in Port Charlotte Cin by way of a refferral. Iron Spade is the name of shop. Very classy, clean, and well kept place. The owner Butch was once rated as one of the best aritists in the US. I can't wait to go back! I am going to finish the sleeve on my left arm (pictured) with little pieces to tell of my heritageand family history, and then it will be on to schomb flower collection can't wait!!!! Kim also got a tattoo of a magnolia, but she is sleeping right now. At some point today I will post a picture of her flower, which was tattooed by my artist's wife
