    Default Meet Tarzan

The newest addition to our family and inhabitant of my terrarium
We were told that he is a ahaetulla nasuta (long nosed vine/whip snake), but from looking at pictures I think he looks more like ahaetulla prasina (oriental vine/whip snake).

    Enjoy

    Cool snake you got there.

It camouflages like a part of the root system of your orchids.

He only eats lizzards and frogs - which means that I'm buying house geckos for him (he only needs one pr. week)

On the Jane part - he's not gonna get company in the nearest future I think This is my first snake ever so I think it might be a bit t(w)o much if he got a Jane... And by doubling the number of snakes I gues I would be doubling the chances for orchids being hurt

    He's beautiful, Christian!

Too bad he's not an insectivore ... rare though those are in the snake world. feeding would be cheaper. Wonder if his kind can be trained/conditioned to do pinkie mice? My pueblo milksnake fortunately will eat pinkies. [For those not in the know, its normal diet in the wild would consist mainly of snakes and the other occasional reptile. The breeder I got her from raised her on pinkies which winds up be quite a bit more affordable.]

cool snake...now that the weather is getting warmer, frog collecting may be cheaper for the summer months.
