Great pics, Ron! Although I'd never pose down in FL for that last shot! The fake ones aren't always as fake as you think...

I was down golfing at Disney World in Orlando twenty years ago. We'd do the Disney World thing in the morning and evening, and as the parks got crowded near lunch time we'd knock off for the afternoon and play some golf (their courses are amazing!)

We were carting down one fairway, past a fairly realistic alligator statue, when the thing opened its mouth and snapped at us - it wasn't a Disney animatron!

This is gonna sound crazy, but I had a dream last night that I caught an alligator that was running around trying to bite people at a public pool!!! Maybe in my inconscience I knew that you guys were talking about alligators?!? How weird!!!

Those Vultures are ugly birds! Yesterday, I got pics of two Vultures and an Osprey at the Fakahatchee...

My twin nephews moved to Florida when they were 5 or 6, and I remember going down to visit soon afterwards. They demonstrated how to run in a zig zag - they practiced it quite a bit. They'd learned that alligators can only run in a straight line, so that's how you should run away from an alligator.

In my mind, I could see the alligator running straight up the middle, covering the shorter distance faster, and chomping them the next time they crossed back. I, of course, said nothing to disillusion them; the zig zag running was pretty funny to watch.

Qing, your camera is starting to piss me off! Can you slightly unfocus your pictures, please, to help us all feel better about ourselves? You can make a Canada Goose look good! Sheesh!
